A small village adjoining Windermere and the River Leven, Newby Bridge is a beautiful riverside setting. Founded around the five-arched stone bridge built across the river in 1651, leading to the magnificent Swan Hotel. 

The properties stand across the bridge alongside the A590 which means getting around is a breeze. Newby Bridge caters mainly for the passing tourist trade.

Windermere is a picturesque 20 minute drive or, 3 minutes away from the property is Lakeside Pier where you can catch the Ferry to Bowness-on-Windermere & Ambleside.

Ulverston Town is a 10 minute drive away where you will find Booths Supermarket and a wealth of shops & cafés.

Situated approximately 15 minutes’ drive from junction 36 of the M6 Motorway.

Just follow the A590 signposted to Barrow.

  As you enter Newby Bridge you will pass the Newby Bridge Petrol Station. Then at the roundabout go straight across. After 200 yards the road bends to the left. Newby Bridge House is on the righthand side of this bend. Turn right, across the traffic on the bend towards the bridge leading to the Swan Hotel. Enter the blue wrought iron gates to Newby Bridge House

For Riverside Hideaway & Riverside Retreat. Turn right towards the bridge leading to the Swan Hotel , then turn left into the last turning  before the bridge. Follow the road all the way round to the end of the drive.
